About the VNA
Established in 1952, the VNA & Hospice of Southern California is a community based, charitable, non-profit 501(c)(3 )home care agency. When the agency began, the staff consisted of one public health nurse and the office was loaned to VNA by the Red Cross. Since that humble beginning VNA & Hospice has expanded dramatically. In addition to visiting nursing services, we provide a full range of services including physical, occupational and speech therapy, home health aides providing personal care, a dietitian, medical social workers and Hospice care for patients with a life limiting illness.
Our agency’s motto is very simply: "55 Years, One Mission: Excellent Care." It is this philosophy that inspires us to provide care for the ill and disabled in our community who are not covered by insurance or have no means to pay for care. We answer human needs with "Yes, we can," rather than, "Who do we bill for services?"
