The VNA & Hospice of Southern CA provides a full range of home health care services designed to help patients and their families return to a rich and full life after surgery or an illness. Care is provided in the comfort, privacy and safety of your own home.
You have 24 hour care in the hospital and you are sent home and you still need care. Think of our services as a continuation of the hospital stay. Our services can also help you avoid a hospitalization or nursing home placement. The following are some examples of how we can help patients:
- After surgery we help patients heal quicker
- Provide physical therapy to regain strength after surgery
- Teach patients how to manage their medications and take them properly
- After an accident or surgery, we help patients learn how to walk safely
- After a stroke, speech therapists assist patients in regaining speech
- Teach people how to manage illnesses such as diabetes
- Help get you connected with community services
- Provide help with bathing and personal care
- Provide care & monitoring when recovering from an illness or heart attack.
All services and therapy are provided by licensed nurses, physical, occupational, or speech therapists, medical social workers, nutritionists, and certified home health aides.
Who Pays For Services
Home health and Hospice services are paid for by:
- Medicare
- MediCal
- Private insurance / HMO
- Charitable Care Funds.
In most cases 100% of our services are covered by Medicare or MediCal. Private insurance and HMO policies may vary in coverage. Our trained staff will verify your insurance and inform you of your coverage and benefits.
