What is private duty care?
Extra help… in the home… when you need it the most.

- Care may be provided for as little as two hours or as much as 24 hours a day / 7 days a week.
- Care is supervised by a licensed nurse and provided by trained and certified home health aids.

When is private duty needed?
When a patient needs extra help or care to stay at home safely. While you’re at work we can help by:
- Cooking a meal
- Giving a bath
- Helping with getting dressed
- Reminding patient to take medication
- Keeping your loved one safe and keeping them company
How do I know what kind of care or services we need?
We’ll send an evaluation nurse to your home to discuss your situation and provide you with recommendations for services that can help meet your specific needs.
Who pays for private duty care?
- Long-term care insurance policies may pay for private duty care
- Private duty services may also be paid for directly
- Our trained staff will verify your insurance and inform you of your coverage and benefits.
Private Duty Services are provided through the VNA Support Services.
